About Martin Luther King Jr. Performing Arts Center


Operated continuously since 1984, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Performing Arts Center (MLK PAC) is Charlottesville’s premier theater for performances and community events. The 1276-seat theater is owned and operated by the Charlottesville City School Division. The Center serves as a venue for student performances, educational activities, commercial performances and other large group events. Shows from New York, Boston and as far away as China and Moscow have been hosted at the MLK PAC, including The Nutcracker ballet, Ray Charles, Hello Dolly, Bela Fleck, and other popular artists. Not-for-profit rental rates are available. Tickets for non-school event performances can be purchased through the sponsoring agency. Email:mlkpac@charlottesvilleschools.org
