Little Women at the Pond Playhouse
Pond Playhouse
Thu, Apr 10 8:00pm - 10:00pm
This fresh take on a timeless classic, based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel, and adapted by playwright Kate Hamill, is directed by Gisela O’Brien, stage managed by Tippy Scott, with costume designer Susan Hall (Dal, Neptune, NSCAD) leading a team of 17 to take this production to the next level.
Instead of a simple retelling of a timeless classic, Kate Hamill's adaptation of Little Women seeks to bring a feminist-friendly, original interpretation of the struggle facing young women as they grow into adulthood. This involves their quest, not only for their place in society, but also for their own identity, as it relates to others in the world around them.
Little Women opens Thursday, March 27, with 11 performances (two matinees.) For the full schedule, and to secure your tickets, visit tagtheatre.com
