After performing to a sell-out crowd at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax this past March, Alan Doyle and his band return to Nova Scotia for two intimate performances at the Shore Club, the iconic dance hall in Hubbards, on Wednesday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Aug. 29. 

"I have always wanted to play the legendary Shore Club in Hubbards, Nova Scotia and it’s finally happening this summer," said Doyle, "Join me and The Beautiful Beautiful Band on August 28 and 29!"

Doyle is a multifaceted singer-songwriter, going on three decades strong as a musician – first as a member of the much-celebrated band Great Big Sea and now as an internationally acclaimed solo artist. His CV is extensive — he is a thrice-published author, a film and TV actor-producer with multiple major credits, and the co-producer of the 2023 release, 20-song Ron Hynes tribute album, Sonny Don't Go Away. Yet the wildly popular musician from Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, remains most electrifying before a live audience, abetted by his dynamic band. “I am the luckiest guy in the world,” Doyle says. “It’s such a privilege to stand among those players on stage.” Earlier this year he released his twentieth album, Welcome Home, and followed it with extensive North American touring that continues into his summer dates in Hubbards.

The Shore Club is an institution in Hubbards and Nova Scotia's last great dance hall. For over 75 years, the venue has been hosting lobster suppers and live music for people from all over the world.
