Join us for a panel discussion on the vital role of music festivals and their responsibility to music education and nurturing a greater appreciation for the arts. The evening will begin with a discussion featuring panelists who will share their insights into George Wein's profound influence on the music industry and music education. Explore the connection between music education and festivals, highlighting how these events celebrate artistry and also function as essential platforms for music learning and outreach. We'll also dive into the powerful connection between festivals and music education initiatives, emphasizing the significance of accessibility, mentorship, and cultural preservation. Following the panel will be a live concert performance.
After the discussion, we will shift to a concert featuring talented musicians Roland Guerin, Ricky Sebastian, Joe Ashlar, John Michael Bradford, Leland Baker, and Chase Ceglie, all paying tribute to George Wein's lasting contributions to the music world.

This evening is produced by three organizations, all of whom are related to George Wein, who created the Newport Jazz Festival (1954) helped found the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (1970) and established Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc. (2010).
