About Mark Braud:

Mark Braud, a trumpeter and vocalist, embodies the New Orleans spirit with his dynamic jazz interpretations and authentic grooves. Hailing from a family of prominent musicians, Braud draws inspiration from traditional jazz, R&B, and the American songbook. Since 2001, he has been part of Harry Connick Jr.'s band and previously led the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from 2008 to 2016. His collaborations span a diverse range of artists, including the Treme Brass Band, the Marsalis family, Foo Fighters, and Erykah Badu, among others. Braud's extensive television and film work includes roles in "A Tuba to Cuba," "NCIS: New Orleans," and "Treme," while his Broadway credits feature "One Mo’ Time" and Connick's concerts. In 2023, Braud further expanded his influence by co-founding a production music library.

Mark Braud's New Orleans Jazz Giants pays homage to the traditions of classic New Orleans jazz while infusing their performances with fresh, dynamic energy. The band is known for its authentic renditions of jazz standards, soulful blues, and lively brass band tunes, embodying the joyous essence of the city's musical legacy. Each member of the ensemble is a distinguished musician in their own right, contributing to a powerful and cohesive sound that resonates with audiences both locally and internationally.
