Hailing from the pine-scented hills of California’s gold country, Caltucky’s sound is of that place—earthy, deep and filled with sunshine, winding down the mountain like a babbling brook. The four-piece jamgrass band bring their strings to Wave Street for a midweek show, with local bluegrass band Sunny Side of the Mountain opening. And much in the spirit of NPR’s “Tiny Desk” concerts, Wednesday night’s show will be filmed and recorded. It promises to be a scene. [DS]
