The Monterey Sanatan Women’s Social Club came up with an idea to connect Valentine’s Day with a Bollywood party. Sounds fun? Dance the night away with club members, enjoying vibrant music, delicious Indian food and “plenty of romance,” the organizers promise. Most importantly, get ready to groove to the latest Bollywood hits, celebrating the Indian film industry. The term dates back to the 1970s, a time when India’s film industry in Mumbai (then called Bombay) started to give Hollywood a run for its money.
