Ready to meet your new cold-blooded best friend? From gorgeous geckos to terrific tortoises, the SPCA’s Scales and Tails Adoption Event on July 12 and 13 is about celebrating reptiles of all shapes and sizes. During the event, the adoption fees for reptiles will be waived thanks to our compassionate donors. 

Reptiles make fascinating pets that are perfect for those who want a quieter companion with unique charm. Whether you're drawn to the gentle nature of a leopard gecko, the striking colors of a corn snake, or the slow-and-steady personality of a Russian tortoise, adopting a reptile gives a deserving animal a second chance—and gives you a pet unlike any other.

SPCA Monterey County is located at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway, across from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.  Adoption hours are 11-5 daily.

We recommend arriving early - no holds will be available during the event.
