Spaghetti Western
Outdoor Forest Theater
Wed, May 14 6:00pm
Clint Eastwood’s first leading role was in the low-budget 1964 film A Fistful of Dollars, filmed in Spain by Italian director Sergio Leone. Eastwood was paid $15,000 for his performance, just under $155,000 in today’s money. Fast forward to the present, when the Pacific Repertory Theatre is cashing in on the former Carmel mayor’s humble acting beginnings with a Western-themed fundraiser, named after Eastwood’s movie. The event includes cocktails, a barbecue dinner, music and a live auction for high-ticket trips, dinners and a PacRep VIP ticket package, plus other goods. The evening is capped off with a screening of the movie itself. [PM]
