Having poetry, jazz and burlesque under one roof is special. It’s even more special when the roof is that of California’s First Theatre in Monterey. It’s a trifecta presented by the Monterey State Historic Park Association, curated by Monterey County’s Poet Laureate Rachelle Escamilla. Passion & Rhythm: A Valentine’s Soirée features performances between psychedelic Latin Jazz group Espiritmo with the Carmel Delights Dance Company and others, along with poets including Adela Najarro, Aideed Medina and more. Pearl Hour staff will also be on hand with libations.
