Drag queen story hours Saturdays June 1, 8, 15, and 22 hosted by Pickle, the director of Drag Story Hour Los Angeles.

FULL DESCRIPTION

Join the Academy Museum Saturdays June 1, 8, 15, and 22 for Drag Queen Story Hour. Pickle will be joined by fellow drag artists for readings of "The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish" by Lil Miss Hot Mess, "Feminist Baby" by Loryn Brantz, and "It's Okay to Be Different" by Todd Parr.

Story hour will be held in the Academy Museum Store located on the first level. The program is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pickle is the first drag laureate of the City of West Hollywood and director of Drag Story Hour Los Angeles. She has partnered with many organizations, including the Aquarium of the Pacific, the Independent Shakespeare Company, LA County Library and LA Public Library, and has appeared on Tyler Perry's "Sistas," "Weakest Link" and "Dodgeball Thunderdome."

A separate museum admission ticket is required to visit the galleries. Free for ages 17 and under.
