P-22 Day
Griffith Park
Sat, Oct 19, 2024 11:00am - 3:30pm
Communities from all over the Los Angeles will come together to celebrate the iconic and now legendary P-22 mountain lion at the 9th Annual P-22 Day Festival in Griffith Park.
The event is an opportunity to connect and learn from the hundreds of conservation-focused organizations that are working to protect the wildlife and rich biodiversity of Southern California – all while enjoying live music, dancing on the main stage, food-trucks and other surprises. Everyone will also be invited to meet #SaveLACougars partner artist and designer of this year’s festival poster, Jonathan Martinez, take home native plants and check-out the latest P-22 merch!
It was P-22’s extraordinary journey across two of Los Angeles’ busiest freeways and survival against all odds in Griffith Park, that gave life to the campaign that is now building the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing. This year, the #SaveLACougars campaign announced that construction on the monumental conservation structure met a number of important milestones and is on schedule for completion in 2026. The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing will be a first for California, the largest of its kind in the world and a global model for urban wildlife conservation.
