After festival season, summer can slow down in New Orleans, but Tipitina's keeps the good times rolling with free concerts on Fridays.

This year's series begins May 23 with Brass-A-Holics and Electric Ramble. The lineup is heavy on New Orleans funk and includes Erica Falls, Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes, LeTrainiump, Big Chief Juan Pardo's Tribal Gold and Good Enough for Good Times, featuring member of Galactic, who own Tipitina's. There are 15 concerts with two bands each night running through Aug. 29.

The series is sponsored by Tipitina's, New Orleans & Company, Crystal Hot Sauce and Crescent Canna.
