The Uncle Sam Jam brings live music and a fireworks display to Lafreniere Park in Metairie. The music lineup includes “American Pie” singer Don McClean, country band Shenandoah, singer-songwriter Payton Smith and Texas country rock duo Bottomland. There’s also music from the U.S. Marine Forces Reserve Band and an appearance by the National World War II Museum’s Victory Belles. There’s food from food truck and pop-up vendors offering barbecue, sliders, seafood, daiquiris and more. The music starts at 4 p.m. and the fireworks are at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 3.
